Growing and scaling a business is hard. It’s a process full of problems, pains, and the need to do more with less. We know this. At Oppero, these are often the factors that mean we can help founders with their growth problems.
With growth comes opportunity, and Oppero has just that. We're now looking for someone to join the team as a Founder's Associate, working directly alongside our Founder & CEO, Chelsea Seeds, and partnering with our existing Founder’s Associate, Lovisa.
And we want someone who loves to solve the kind of problems that businesses have to get through to succeed.
We need a force multiplier for our Founder/ CEO and the team. Someone who can help us deliver on a broader scale.
Sure, this person may help with some light admin duties, but a better description would be that this person operates like another founder across our portfolio, enabling Oppero to grow and achieve its ambitious growth targets over the next year.
For this seat, we're looking for someone who also brings some growth experience. You've spent time hands on experimenting with a variety of growth channels - you’ve run experiments, seen what works, and aren’t precious about killing what doesn’t. You’re also comfortable picking up delivery across our portfolio companies without needing anything explained twice.
A lot of this job is building the plane while flying it — you’ll regularly face problems where the path isn’t obvious, and you’ll need to figure it out. If that excites you rather than scares you, keep reading.
We believe that behaviours are often a reflection of values, and so here are the values that our founder is looking for in the person who will sit in the FA seat.
If you read this and think “people who know me describe me exactly like this”, then read on for the details of the work below.
This is not your standard transactional role, where you have a typical day-to-day, so explaining the role honestly is a tough thing to do.
